Appearance
Adie is very petite. She barely stand at five foot and has a slender build. She does however have the curves of a woman but they are small curves which often lead to people thinking she is much younger than she is. Her stature and her childlike face make people think she is younger than her nineteen years. Adie usually finds this amusing. Her light brown hair falls in subtle waves down to the middle of her back. She rarely wears her hair down but on occasion she does. It is usually pulled back into a low bun so it does not get in her way whens he is working.
She has dark chocolate eyes that sparkle when she is happy or excited. They can become very brooding when she is upset or displeased. Though they are often warm with delight rather than anger. She can be seen having a far off dreamy sort of look on her face while she is doing her work. Her mind is often off in different places while she works to help her pass the time during the long hours of the day. Despite having the far off dreamy sort of look she is dedicated to her job.
When she is working she is normally seen in the standard uniform for housemaids at Kingsgate House. On her days off, which does not happen often, she will wear either her dark rose colored dress or her dark blue one. Both being of modest styling often paired with a pair of worn boots or shoes.
personality
Adie is a shy person, she would much rather sit back and observe people than actually interact with them. She does not speak much, she usually keeps to herself. There are some people that think she is unintelligent because she does not speak often but she is far from that. Now with that said, if she knows you and has become friends with you she can be a bit of a chatter bug. It just takes a while for people to get close to her due to her feelings that she loves everyone that she loves. She will easily sacrifice herself for someone she cares about.
Adie has always wanted a sibling but her parents were never able to conceive another. She likes to think of her coworkers and the Lords and Ladies of Kingsgate are her family of sorts. Especially since she no longer has any kind of family of her own. Which causes her to take whatever happens in her "family" more to heart and she worries more than she probably should if something goes wrong. She wants to do whatever she can to help make things better and to keep the household happy.
She is the kind of person that will try to avoid conflict if at all possible. Even with that said, if someone is hurting someone that she loves she will gladly stand up for them. If she thinks she can help the situation she will speak up but in most cases she will keep her mouth shut and stay out of the problems.
history
Adie grew up in Ireland for most of her life. She lived with her mother and father. Adie and her family lived modestly, never really have a lot of money but living within their means. This never bothered Adie she actually enjoyed the simpler life. Growing up she always wanted a sibling but her parents were not able to have any more children after her mother gave birth to her. Because she was an only child she was very close to both of her parents especially her mother. Her mother taughter her the womanly duties of the household. Her mother hoped that her daughter would grow up and have her own household to run one day. But tragedy struck when Adie was thirteen. Her mother became sick with diphtheria and was not able to recover.
Adie was devastated when her mother passed away since her mother was the person that she was the closest to. When her mother passed she went into a small depression but soon realized that she could not do that to her father. Who himself was depressed about his wife's death. Adie put on a strong face for her father and took on the role of the caregiver. She took over making sure that her father was taken care of, that the meals were made and the house was clean. Shortly after her mother's death Adie and her father moved to England to start a new life. To get away from the ghost of their dead wife and mother.
Just as things were starting to setting and become normal and routine Adie's father fell ill as well. She was able to keep him alive a little longer than she had her mother but her father soon passed. This left Adie orphaned and alone in a country that she did not really know all that well. She decided that she would need to find a job to take care of herself. One day she heard that there was an opening at Kingsgate House. She knew how to cook and clean so she did not see any harm in trying to get a job there. Given that she was orphaned she did not need to worry about anyone but herself anymore. The little bit of money that she earns she saves so she can one day have enough money to live on her own.
