Appearance
Lady Constance is a lovely, well-groomed young woman. She has a small, delicate frame, and is rather thin and petite, standing about five feet two inches tall. She has dark, wavy, sometimes curly hair that reaches down below her shoulderblades in the back and covers her forehead in the front to frame her long, small face. Her eyes are large and dark green, rather lively and full of expression. Her pale skin is smooth and free of blemishes. She has a bit of a wide, low-set mouth, but it suits her other features well enough to be overlooked. Her nose is delicately curved which makes her appearance a bit more attractive. She moves with practiced grace and confident steps, as any young noblewoman should. Despite her size, she takes long strides and can walk as fast as any other woman with longer legs than hers. Her hands are also slender and delicate, with nearly immaculate nails on each finger. Even her feet are small, if they can ever be seen under her long dresses. She prefers to wear pale greens and chocolate browns if she can, which complement her skin color. She's particularly fond of vertical stripes, which she hears can make her appear taller, ignoring the idea that they make her look even thinner than she is in the first place. Of course, she wears heels on her feet that help her height problem, but only slightly. She can often be seen with a gentle, cheerful expression on her face that complements her small stature.
personality
She is fairly easy to get along with; she likes to socialize and meet new people, seeing an oppurtunity to broaden her horizons. She isn't particularly charismatic, but she knows how to make friends and has found it quite easy to do so. Generally, she is bubbly and bright. She likes to listen to jests and stories, anything amusing. She entertains children easily with fantastic tales of goblins, princesses, and heroic knights. She doesn't like to be ridiculed in any fashion, although one wouldn't know it by seeing her. She hides the displeasure of it and simply laughs it off, but is truly hurt by anyone who may be so cruel to her. She also doesn't like to hurt other people, trying very hard not to offend others in conversation and feeling bold enough to defend anyone who is being ridiculed or mistreated before her, which, as one may imagine, gets her into trouble occasionally. She does, however, know her place, and is respectful enough to her few superiors so as to keep whatever respect she has earned. She rather likes the outdoors animals as well, particularly horses. She knows how to ride and thoroughly enjoys it, often spending extra time with the beasts despite the fact that it isn't customary for her to do so. She also keeps a dalmation called Jack as a pet. The dog rarely leaves her side, but since he is well-behaved, he rarely stirs up trouble. Constance is all-around merry, especially in the morning, which may or may not irritate other, non-morning people. She also likes to flirt with young men around her age. It isn't anything to be concerned about; only a bat of the eyelid here or a mischievious smile there. Her favorite young man, however, is her twelve-year-old brother Alexander. She's very affectionate toward him above most others, which is understandable as he is the youngest and the gentler of the two boys.
history
She was born to her aristocratic parents nineteen years ago. She is their only daughter. Her older brother was seven years old when she was born. He turned out to be quite a trouble maker, and because of him she is a lover of animals and the outdoors. The two would go out and play in the stables when they were young, Constance knowing that her mother did not approve of her only daughter playing among the beasts. Their father, however, was amused with his daughter's fascination with the beasts. He taught her to ride well and bought her a puppy- much to her mother's discontent. This continued until the birth of the youngest child, Alec. On the day of her younger brother's birth, Constance began to spend more time indoors, her fascination with the outdoors shifting to the young baby in the house. By then, of course, her fourteen-year-old brother had less of an interest in playtime, so Constance amused herself by playing with the baby indoors. This new behavior pleased her mother, and things were well. Constance received her education as well, becoming fluent in French and entirely literate. This pleased both of her parents and even her older brother. When Alec began to walk around the house, Constance walked with him. When he was three, she began to play outdoors with him in the stables, just as she and Ben used to play. Alec wasn't quite as adventurous as Ben, but Constance didn't mind. It was good for her to be reliving her younger days with her little brother. As Alec grew, Constance grew, and eventually her interest in playtime faded, much like her older brother's had. Still, she told Alec bedtime stories every night and loved him just as much. She continued to grow this way until leaving her home to travel independantly. Her parents are currently living in Scotland with her younger brother. Her elder is also traveling, chasing a desire to see the world. As for Constance, her adventurous nature led her to visit Kingsgate and perhaps attend Lady Elizabeth's party. She is staying with a distant relative not far from the estate.

"Come, Jack. We have much to do." Constance said firmly to her dalmation. The dog wagged his tail once but stayed where he was. Surely he saw a rabbit or fox and naturally wanted to give chase. "Jack." she said in a warning tone. He huffed and trotted gracefully to her side, Constance patting his head. [b["Good dog."
Constance let out a sigh. Yes, the countryside was beautiful in the dim light of the setting sun. She knew it would be, but she was in a strange land. She was far from home, and it was her first time being so far, but she couldn't help but enjoy herself. Such a lovely view. She sat in the grass and her dog lay next to her. She stroked his soft coat affectionately. "You're a good dog, Jack." she said to him. He turned his head to look at her with dark, soulful eyes, wagging his tail. He seemed to know his name and the phrase "good dog", because he gave her the same look every time she said it. Constance scratched behind his ear and giggled. "A very good dog indeed." she added.
"Jack, there are bound to be important people where we're going. I need you to be on your best behavior, so mind your manners when we get there."
The dog wagged his tail twice.
It was then that her chaperone called her. It was most likely time to be going. She stood and patted her thigh so that Jack would follow. "Let's see the world, my boy." she told him. The dog padded to her side and licked her hand, receiving an affectionate pat on the head in return. She climbed into the carriage and allowed Jack to occupy the seat beside her, though he rested his slender front legs on her thighs, as if ensuring that he, Jack, have his mistress' undivided attention. Her friendly chaperone seemed to find this strange.
"Please, pardon the dog. He's been with me since he was a puppy, and he doesn't seem to understand that he is my dog and not my child." she smiled when her chaperone did.
